» What is KCH?
The King's Children Home (KCH) is a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping and providing residential care for children in difficult circumstances regardless of their social status, culture, race or religious belief. We are located just on the outskirts of Belmopan, which is the capital, geographical and business center of Belize, Central America.

For each child that comes through our doors, KCH provides secure housing, a nutritious and well-balanced diet, clothing, immunization and all medical attention needed, complete education, a loving environment where children learn discipline and respect for themselves and others, and the opportunity to grow spiritually. » Who Benefits From KCH?
Children who, for no reason of their own, are not able to be cared for by their parents or family members. Children who are abandoned, abused, neglected or orphaned. Children who are in dangerous conditions, either self-imposed or inflicted by others.

» Our History.
KCH is one of the very few such institutions in Belize, and is unique in that it was started in August of 1985 by then Miss Leonie Herrera, a dedicated lady with a dream. Mrs. Herrera-Gillham is a committed Christian, and her Home is run based on Christian principles, compassion, love and sensitivity. Over the years the home has physically expanded, with hundreds of children passing through its doors. KCH is a mission of faith, with God as the head and all other staff as workers for Him. The children are all taught to think of themselves as princes and princesses, as they are the children of the King of kings. Presently, there are 38 children in the home, ranging in ages from newborn's to 19 year olds.
KCH receives a small subvention from the Belize government in the sum of USD$500.00 per month, which equals about $1000.00 Belize dollars. Expenses range from $6800.00 to $8900.00 Belize dollars per month, depending on what needs to be paid for that month. KCH depends wholly on the Lord to move on the hearts of His people to help with the running of the home. Therefore, KCH is run mainly on voluntary contributions. Find out how you can help!
